1. INTEGRATION WITH YOUR SYSTEM ASSISTANT

Unlike traditional apps, Lithotheque exposes its tools directly to the Android system via App Functions. This means you can control Lithotheque without even touching the screen, using your usual assistant (like Google Gemini).

How to use?

  • Use your system assistant (Gemini) and give a natural instruction.

Example: "Create a record in Lithotheque for a Pliocene Granite with quartz crystals."

Result: Lithotheque opens instantly, creates the record and fills in the dictated information.

2. SMART FILLING AND CHRONOLOGICAL ANALYSIS

AI does more than just transcribe your words; it analyzes them to enrich your data.

Automatic Stratigraphic Hierarchy

This is one of the most advanced functions: simply state a stage or epoch name (e.g., "Pliocene" or "Maastrichtian").

What the AI does: It consults its internal chronological database to automatically fill in the entire hierarchy: Eon, Era, Period, and Epoch. You no longer need to navigate complex geological time scale menus.

Smart Field Mapping

The AI identifies the nature of your sample (Rock, Fossil, Mineral) and places each detail in the correct category (Identification, Type, Description).

3. HIGH-PRECISION SCIENTIFIC GPS

As soon as an entry is initiated by voice or AI, the system automatically triggers the Scientific GPS.

  • The Principle: Instead of taking a single GPS point (often imprecise), the app captures and averages 10 successive samples.
  • Advantage: This significantly reduces the margin of error and ensures a robust location for your mapping work. A progress indicator shows the calculation in real time.

Automatic Scale Detection (Ruler/Mire)

A geological photo without a scale is not usable. Lithotheque watches over you:

  2. Ruler detection: The AI specifically looks for a ruler, a hammer, or a graduated scale.
  3. Compliance alert: If no scale object is detected, the app displays a warning. This allows you to immediately correct the shot before leaving the outcrop.

5. FIELD USE SCENARIOS

Upon arriving at the site, launch the voice command. By the time you take out your hammer, the app has already:

  • Created the record.
  • Resolved the complete chronology of the terrain.
